In this short but invaluable video, you’ll learn how to use the Kreg jig tool, one that’s becoming more popular in today’s wood workshop as people try to produce cleaner, stronger joints more quickly than before. All you need to follow along here is a Kreg jig, the bit and stop that comes with it, the drivers, some screws, and some materials to join together as well as a drill.

The Kreg jig allows you to join two pieces of wood together by making an angular hole in one piece of wood and then drilling a screw through that angled hole into another piece of wood, thereby joining them together. You can also use wood glue if you want to strengthen your assemblage, but it’s really not necessary. Also, remember that the grain of the wood affects the strength of the hold. This video does a great job of showing how this works in practice.
